Did you know that up to 85% of dogs have problems with their teeth?
Many pet owners are not aware of the importance of oral hygiene for their pet, thinking “bad breath” is the only issue. In fact plaque and oral infections are common in dogs and cats, resulting in systemic infections, gum inflammation, loose or rotten teeth, pain and discomfort while eating. As a result your pet may lose interest in food and lose condition. Bad breath occurs when plaque and bacteria have already compromised your pet’s oral hygiene!
Bad breath is the best warning sign a Dental is needed now without delay!
Talk to us about your pet’s teeth and we will advise you on what to do. A simple exam will tell us if your pet needs a teeth cleaning procedure and what is the state of health of your pet’s mouth.
Dental costs about the same as a human dentist for Clean & Scale, except pets needs to be under anaesthetic as we can’t ask them to be still for 30 mins while we work. You can book a Dental any weekday. Your pet will need to be fasting from food starting 7:30/8:00pm night before, but as much water as they want. All Dentals are booked at 9am.
