Dog Vaccinations are very important. They are not against simple colds or Flu, they protect against horrible diseases that can cause your annimal great misery or even kill them. You get a Vaccination Booklet signed by Registered Vet, bearing an official Stamp of Paw Paws Vet Clinic. All dog vaccinations are transported in special chilled conditions, clinics then store them in fridges until they are injected by a registered Veterinary Surgeon. This ensures your pet is given safe medication that works. If however, dog vaccines have been outside such conditions for even short periods, they may totally lose their effectiveness. If injected incorrectly, they can be seriously dangerous or fatal. We don’t allow just anyone to inject humans for a very good reason; pets are the same! It’s not worth the risk!
Pups get their initial dog vaccinations at ten weeks old, followed by a booster injection 4 weeks later. This is Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus infection, Parainfluenza infection and Leptospirosis infection vaccine (DHPPi and the new L4) and has to be repeated annually. Between six and eight weeks old though, pups could get the Parvovirus infection vaccine alone as an early protection, to be followed by their initial vaccinations.
Kennel Cough vaccine is mandatory for animals that will visit kennels and recommended for dogs living in areas crowded with other dogs. It needs at least two weeks to be fully effective and has to be repeated annually.
Rabies dog vaccination is a MUST for Pets that travel abroad and they need an annual booster too. Talk to us today about your pet’s vaccination status.

Do NOT give any human medication to Pets, it can make things worse or even kill them!
